Ministry Watch // September 24, 2007

I was at the gym today, listening to one of my favorite podcasts the RELIGION AND ETHICS NEWSWEEKLY and I heard this story about a website that keeps tabs on Christian ministries. Basically, they take a look at a particular ministry's financial report and give them a grade on their transparency and fiscal efficiency.

The founder, Rusty Leonard, was a investor that got fed up with the fact that he could look at any Fortune Five Hundred Company and make an educated decision based on open financial record - but could not do that with Christian Ministries! Out of this came Ministry Watch.

Check it out, I love it! There is a fascinating 20/20 report on the main page.
