chaplainfisher.com is three years old! // January 11, 2008
Its kinda amazing to me to think about the reality that three years ago I posted my first entry as a brand-spanking-new 2LT Chaplain Candidate at the Chaplain School at Ft Jackson, SC! Now, I am finishing up my time in the Reserves (in three years I have only had six months of reserve time - the rest of it has all been active...) and heading into the world of the professional soldier.
This last year has been great for me and Sara (now Sophie too!). I have grown greatly. Mostly, I have grown as a staff officer. This year has been all about training, staff work and understanding how the big army works (and my place in it). I have been working on a couple articles for the site: a FAQ page, a meditation on pluralism, and my thoughts on what it means to be a servant of God in this environment.
Look to the next post for what the next year holds for the Fishers!
